Finally getting an approved electronic flight plan and getting rid of paper is considered a "beating"?

We have had an electronic flight plan in html format for years that worked great. But the 4th floor didn't come up with it, so it was no good.

Html is pretty janky..but regardless I wouldn't consider it a "beating" and still definitely a net positive and a step in the right direction. But maybe I'm just not angry and jaded enough 😂

Feels like the Microsoft Surface Tablet fiasco all over again.

"Hey, it's not paper charts anymore! Why are you complaining?"

Overdramatic. The surface tablet was way worse. Exponentially.

The Surface was also trying to achieve a great deal more in one leap. From what I can tell, Mission+ seemed to simply be trying to replace a single paper document we’ve already recreated in HTML - and it is a failure so far. After years of talk, testing and development, it increases workload and creates distraction. Meanwhile, we’re still printing paper!

Mission+ is an embarrassment for anyone not too close to realize it. My hunch is even those intimately involved realize the failure.

Shrug face. I’ve been using it for a couple months and aside from learning where things are it’s been fine. New flow is all. Color highlighting of “important” NOTAMs is great. Not looking forward to digital signatures, but aside from the occasional “did you use your iPad last night in the hotel?” splashes on the screen, which I could avoid touching with airdrop, I’ll survive.

Great? No. A 23’ scroll to share? Definitely no.

Sorry, I’ve been subjected to ohio state fans the last few days. Obnoxious.

The starship doesn't randomly log you out 3-7 times a flight though like Miss+ does :(

While not user friendly, and a bit surprising for a fully developed app, having to look at the iPad once in a while to log back in isn’t that arduous to me.
