Flight Ops should listen to the feedback they’re getting and try something else. They won’t.

.

It is truly amazing how the tech ops folks in charge of this fiasco somehow convinced themselves that this was "good to go."

"Great job, guys! We knocked it out of the park!"

"The line pilots will love it, boss!"

it's all a sunk cost now. They should go back, find a new bidder, and start fresh. But they won't. once Brad S staked his reputation on M+, he'll cram it down our throats and let the corporate comm folks tell us how great it is.

The thing that I did not like about the calendar view in iCrew Max was in the depiction of trips that went from one week to another. It was hard tell which visual depiction of the trip in the upper week belonged with the visual bar of the same trip in the lower week as it wrapped from Saturday to Sunday.

Why not have both?

Mission+ is pretty straight forward once you have a flow. I just start with, Flight Prep/Flight Information then hit the down arrows until the end. Then I take a look at weather, and then Notams. I love how the TAF is in bold, larger font around the scheduled time of your arrival. Also glad to finally have Notam filtering. Inflight/Enroute page is a mess that has several bugs but once you put your off time in the Enroute Information page is semi useful for arrival time. Looking forward to the next big update.

I wish I had a screenshot of Sked+. Maybe a SkyWester could do that. It uses a much better calendar view than iCrew Max had (both of which being far better than MiCrew).

If they bottled up all the zeal/decisiveness they put into killing superior products, they may actually spit out a decent product themselves.

I didn't really use them, though they were pretty sweet.

The official excuse on Skyhub was pretty weak too. Basically it's unapproved, and "introduces risk" to the operation. It violates IT "protocols". They are "committed" to providing industry leading tools (sidetone: so sick of the gross misuse of that term). If you have any suggestions for future improvements, "please submit an FCR."

Yeah, so they can take 6-9 months to have third party programmers maybe try to incorporate it. Maybe.

I guess I don't get the extreme level of hate for M+...... Yea it's not mind blowing incredible, and it's got some clunkyness to it. I forced myself to use it for two weeks with no paper, eventually figured my new flow out, and I guess I just don't really mind it at this point. Ill take M+ any day over having to unfurl a paper release with no seams that doesn't fold and you have to unravel. We're dealing with some serious first world problems here.

you have probably the worst, most judgmental, and pilot-unfriendly attitude of any lead line check pilot I have ever encountered. If Patrick Burns posted here, I bet he'd sound a lot like you.

Keep up the good work.

I don't think it's hate for M+ as much as it's trading one known mediocre product (paper flight plan) with an unknown mediocre product (M+). My biggest problem is that this system is needy. It requires more attention than the paper flight plan - at least at my current skill level with it - and I don't want to spend the time getting to know it until I'm forced to. If the architects are listening to the feedback, it's going to change again before the deadline anyway.

Delta has done a great job of teaching me not to be an early adopter of any change, much less a Delta IT product. I have the same confidence in this meeting the rollout deadline as I do in all of our pilots being in the new uniform on Nov 1st.
