There aren't 6 or 7 leg days on the 717. 5 leg days maybe during an IROP are extremely rare.

Nope. I do almost exclusively ATL flying on the 737. The last month has been nothing but tail swaps in ATL, even on only 2 leg days. I think it’s still intact on the FA side but not for pilots any longer. I mentioned this change to my last captain and he agreed he’d noticed the change. I know this is a 717 thread but I wouldn’t be surprised if that change filters down to all the other domestic fleets soon.
You are absolutely 100% keeping the airplane all day if the APU is MEL'd.

It used to be fine on the 717, then it got terrible, and now its pretty good again. As with all things, it ebbs and flows. But, in my experience, they've been pretty good about keeping crews with airplanes. The only exceptions are IROPs and long sits.

It’s about much more than legs per day. I’d rather do 4-5 legs a day keeping the jet than fewer legs but changing planes every flight.
