Why? what's the reason? Where does the 75 fly to? Is it a bad schedule? Don't you have to be on property for a year and have xxxhr flying at the airline and off probation to upgrade? How about the 73 I would think that would be a faster upgrade. Thanks!

Least desirable base trips. Its the state bird of Florida. No limitation at delta, but you do need 1000hrs of 121 time though it wouldn't stop you from getting awarded the seat. 73 and 320 NYC are also quick

Junior captain schedules are terrible. I’ll stay in the right seat and keep my Europe overnights

What makes it terrible are the reserve rules bad? How long are you seat locked for before you can bid the right seat of something else? How long do you think you'll be on reserve? The other side is who upgrades in 4.5? do they have previous experience in type and know the delta procedure and stations, I mean with that quick upgrade you never even di-iced with Delta before upgrading... crazy times!

I agree. The few “probationary” captains I trained recently in the ER were absolutely fantastic, and often ahead of seasoned FOs. All were a pleasure to work with and well aware of their once in a lifetime opportunity.

Seat lock will be 2 years from award.
Since you can put all your reserve days in a row here even commuting a long distance junior can be relatively simple. Living closer is better though and within short call leash changes a lot.
NYC is extra junior becuase non locals aren't always thrilled with the prospect of multiple airports. It's not so much that it's bad here as it is many choose to be senior in NYC or junior closer to home. If you live anywhere near one of the three NYC airports you can assuredly take advantage.
