Doesn't update. Only a snapshot of the last time you had internet or cell connection and you told it to update. Won't update on F500 either.
So 4 hours into your transcon or NAT crossing its about worthless.
Give us a windy style app that updates while we are in the cockpit.
Billy Joe Bob has better info available to him in his cessna 150 than we do flying multi million dollar aircraft.

Winds aloft forecasts don't change significantly that often. You can slide to the next effective Zulu time on the bottom. Since you aren't pulling out a wizz wheel every time you do a reroute, a few knots and a few degrees difference between the 00 and 06z issue time aren't going to make a difference.
LAX JFK for example a few weeks ago.
Jepp showed predominant winds at FL340 (you know because of the goofy scale on Jepp FL30 then 34 then 39 then like 45 rather than every 2-4 k like on Windy) to be 245/120. Actual winds started out as head wind, then switched 90 degrees. Only to end up switching another 180 by the time we started the LENDY. Actual velocities (according to the jet) were much less than shown (a good thing, but Ive seen the opposite). So within about a 5 hour period we saw quite a bit of wind shift on our route in both speed and direction
I'd post a screen shot of it but the file size is too large for APC to let me.
I've had Jepp show tailwinds and we actually encounter headwinds 2-3hrs into the flight. The atmosphere is a moving living thing, it is not very static and contrary to me as I get older, does like to change.
I agree that what is already on Jepp is fine, but we require internet connectivity to keep it updated. Which for some reason we can't have???
I do like the Windy display though, color coding is nice feature for the speeds. Be nice to see that on our tablet with functionality of continual updates.

LAX JFK for example a few weeks ago.

And windy/Jepp derive their data from the same place. As far as altitude, Jepp uses the raw data and windy probably uses a linear extrapolation since winds aloft are not reported in 1000 foot increments . The winds between 340/300 are not "accurate" for windy

Right now my medical is gone as my Neurologist for the last 15 years, my PC and a single doctor at the FAA (a doctor of osteopathy no less) argue about my 15+ years of successful treatment using my CPAP. All of a sudden the FAA is mandating I take another sleep study before they will re-issue (we with OSA only have a medical good for one year it can't revert). My doctors say I don't need one as my therapy and titration have been solid since my last one 5 years ago. The FAA doctor of osteopathy disagrees with my neurologist and my PC. Doesn't matter, I'm stuck as the docs battle it out.
