This trip was in Jan

Why do you care?

I said "just lost medical" and actually its not lost, I just need to duke it out with one "doc" at FAA and we're back on track to have it reinstated. I was flying on the issued one from my AME until we got the letter from OK city

but I really don't owe an explanation to you on that.

Ok so winds don't change for 24 hours? You're retarded if you think that

On Jepp you can only slide out to +18h so where the F$*( did you guys come up with 24?

Show me a 24 hour out forecast that has been accurate. Heck we do alt at +/- 1 one hour for a reason. Even then its iffy.

So now you are a meteorologist

In addition to being a psychologist

Wow, for an alleged Delta pilot, you are one fart smeller.

why do you need a 24 hour forecast for any flight?

And windy/Jepp derive their data from the same place. As far as altitude, Jepp uses the raw data and windy probably uses a linear extrapolation since winds aloft are not reported in 1000 foot increments . The winds between 340/300 are not "accurate" for windy
That's meaningless.

I know that, it goes to +18hours from its last "update"

I was wondering when you'd roll in.

Been circling with the reserve corps of the flying monkeys I see

You're not paying attention.

We are discussing winds aloft feature. Windy is great.

However, like our Jepp app it needs an active connection to give most updated information.

the key words being "most updated information"

The slider bar on the Jepp app from an update you got 7 hours ago is not going to be close to accurate.

I'd also like more granularity with regards to altitudes available. Chunks of 4-5k and in some cases like Jepp you can only get 6k slices which are not suitable.

Do you have a life? Its Saturday evening here east of the Mississippi. You and breezy need to find a hobby

I'm an old guy so I have an excuse.

People keep trying to tell you that they are all derived from the same base forecast and the tighter units on windy are guesses from the bigger forecast.

Also, you missed why you seem ignorant. It's the quip about having less than a 172. It's ok though, you added enough more reasons it doesn't matter anymore.

If you didn't catch it, windy isn't so amazing when you know what it's trying to tell you. You seem to think it's some technological gospel though.

You should take some intro classes in aviation meteorology. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Who gives a rats arse…

Climb when the flight plan tells you to…descend when flight plan tells you to. Update the cruise and descent winds when the ACARS tells you to.

Not going to land with with enough gas? Divert and let Scheds and the dispatcher figure it out.

No one is or should using FDPro or any other winds aloft graphical product for anything other than situational awareness. The flight plan software is far more advanced than whatever "math" can be done eyeballing a wind barb
