Fleet and bases

Junior 767-400 Captain is 23 years (mostly domestic international category).
Junior A330/A350 is 24 years.
Most international WB Captains are 25+ years. The junior international WB captain (excluding 767-300) will drop to 17 years in 2024 if current trends continue, then 11 years in 2025. It could also end up 19 years in 2026 if age 67 passes.
The most correct answer is top 20% of the seniority list regardless of date of hire. Peaks and valleys in hiring make a huge difference. 2001-2007 is one seniority number. 2007-2014 is only 1,000 numbers. Jan -June of this year is also 1,000 numbers.

But keep in mind that there were only 3000 pilots hired between that pilot an a 2014 hire. even without growth, retirements will see a 2014 hire get WB A within 3-4 years at the most. maybe less. So, we will see something like a 12-13 year WB A in a few years.
That said, with the fact that we have hired over half the list since that 2014 hire, it will trend back “longer” after that nadir.
*edit* Gunfighter is a faster typer. Good to see we said pretty much the same thing.

Has there been any indication from the company on where the MAX-10 will fly vs where the 321-neo will fly? Will the max have etops? I know its only supposed to seat 182 which is far less than the plane is capable of holding so it will be premium heavy. The 321 neo seems to be pretty coastal heavy right now im wondering if the max will be core hub heavy

Seniority in class is determined by the last four of your social, 9999 is the most senior and 0000 is the most junior. The ‘categories’ offered to the class are determined by crew resources based on vacancies from the last ‘Advance Entitlement’, vacancy bid. Right now crew resources is running those monthly. If you are assigned 220, 320, or 737 in class, it’s pretty likely that you’ll get SEA in a timely manner. Currently, new hires are mostly converting to the base they want the month after completing IOE. If you aren’t assigned a fleet that is available in Seattle, you’ll get an opportunity to break your seat lock after a year.

thank you very much my question about seniority is because on page 20-1 on PWA it says this :
New-hires will be assigned seniority numbers on the basis of the last four digits of each individual's social security number. Individuals with the higher numbers will be assigned the lowest seniority numbers.
So 01XX is junior and 99XX is senior ? Or
01XX is senior and 99XX is junior ?
Any interpretation ?
Thank you
