As I said above, you should always ACE a reroute. Always.

Why? They’re 6 months behind and falling further behind chances are they never get to it. Now we’re supposed to reach out to company to stop the 120 day expiration clock, but we haven’t been provided with an email to reach out to.

Here’s a hint. Getting ahold of a scheduler that can do anything is really difficult and the chief pilots want nothing to do with scheduling violations.

Our process is a joke. We should be able to fill out an Ace and get an answer within 2 days. It’s time to shut ACE down. It’s a colossal failure.

No, it’s time for the company to follow the PWA. Period…

Out of curiosity, what is your solution for DALPA to handle these issues if they shut ACE down? With the company running scheduling like the wild, wild west thereby increasing the numerosity of inquiries, it would seem that you plus 10% of the pilot group would need to become ALPA scheduling volunteers just to try and meet your arbitrary 2 day timeline. I hope you have submitted your name to DALPA to become a Scheduling Committee volunteer to help alleviate this issue that you feel so strongly about.

Congratulations on the least serious post of the month.

ALPA is failing. It’s time to hire and train non-pilots with our millions of dues money. I was dead serious. ACE is a failure. I picked 2 days because that is how long the scheduling committee used to take before they all quit. In another 6 months, we’ll be 9-12 months behind. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think we should have to wait that long for a resolution. After a few days, I can’t even remember what happened.

You mean the pilots are failing to contribute. And the people who quit did so during the RS administration. I haven't heard of mass whiting's since. And the reason it's so long is because of the volume of violations. That's not ALPA fault

Have you volunteered to help?

If only that question had been asked about 4 posts prior. 😁 Of course, there was no response so it doesn't hurt to ask again...inquiring minds and all.

If you had even a basic understanding of what is really going on, or what the capabilities of ACE are, you would never say this.

They cannot take any more volunteers in the scheduling committee; I asked about 6 months ago, and they said we don't have the funds to bring on more people. In reality, they need about 50 more volunteers to handle all the PWA violations that are related to ACE submissions.
