I will preface this thread with the fact I am not a smart man, also I have read the appropriate PWA references and spoke to tracking and scheduling. I was rerouted into a golden x-day. I have never had this happen and believe it doesn’t comply with the pwa language as I have read it. Anyone out there that can share their experience on how PB day was handled and also any pay implications. Sorry to sound ignorant I have been lucky enough to avoid rerouted during my time here at Delta and am unfamiliar with how it all plays out. Here is the breakdown.
Rerouted enroute on 2nd to last leg of 4-day trip
day 5 of trip is one leg deadhead back to base on golden x-day
thanks in advance!

Also, pay treatment would fall under 23L I believe for reroute and getting back later than 4 hours after originally scheduled. Additionally, you may be owed pay treatment as well if the segment was uncovered more than 14 hours before. You should absolutely submit an ACE.

I quoted the PWA regarding interruption of golden days and was told they weren’t up to speed on PWA references but scheduling was so I ended our conversation and reached out to scheduling and was told that it wasn’t against PWA but scheduler was also unfamiliar and asked several questions about PB day and pay and she claimed to have reached out to reroute desk via email.

What did you tell tracking and what did tracking tell you?

on the Golden Day intrusion crew tracking does not see that. You are required to notify them of the issue. They should of given you a reason at that point why there was no other option to cover the flying.

They have and will reroute us all the time longer than 14 hours out in violation of the contract. Under 23L4.note we get paid for it. Call scheduling first and if they don’t pay the extra submit an ACE report. Under the new contract implementation on 8/1 all reroutes get paid extra regardless of 14 hours or not.
