Maybe they could find the funds by eliminating the breakfast/lunch/happy hour buffets and open bar "hospitality suites" at the MEC meetings, held in vacation spots where we don't have a pilot base...
Maybe they could pare back the number of volunteers who are "rewarded" by being taken to the biennial beachfront/Vegas drink fest at the BOD meeting... Maybe the commuting MEC chairman could move to where his business actually is, instead of making ALPA pay for his lodging in ATL... Maybe ask the volunteers to actually VOLUNTEER instead of paying them all full time flight pay loss to miss trips, then letting them pick up GS on off days. Look, I just found about a million dollars more to fund contract compliance. |

Why? They’re 6 months behind and falling further behind chances are they never get to it. Now we’re supposed to reach out to company to stop the 120 day expiration clock, but we haven’t been provided with an email to reach out to.
Here’s a hint. Getting ahold of a scheduler that can do anything is really difficult and the chief pilots want nothing to do with scheduling violations. Our process is a joke. We should be able to fill out an Ace and get an answer within 2 days. It’s time to shut ACE down. It’s a colossal failure. So there aren't 6 whole months of ACE reports. The ALPA people work hard and need lots of training before they become a ACE specialist. It's not just some guy they pull off the street that day. |

I agree with eliminating open bar but disagree with most of the rest. Plus, the vast majority of volunteers here do their work without FPL. Not to mention that the company pays for a significant chunk as well.
I know we were all eagerly anticipating your thumbs up or thumbs down gesture that you feel you have to give every post on here, as the self appointed arbiter of quality APC content. Your opinion really matters to all of us. Keep it up. |

Cool your Jets, dude. I may disagree with CBreezy at times, but here he’s spot on, and it’s fair game to opine. Is this a discussion board, or not?

Relax. I'm mostly just poking at him, but it does get a little annoying that he feels he has to weigh in on every post. Jeez, he's at almost 8500 posts on here just on that screen name, and that doesn't even include his obvious other accounts.

I literally don't care what you think about my post count or my activity on here and pointing it out is merely an attempt to shame me into silence...which, everyone on here knows does not affect me in the slightest.
I'd rather read updates on the SEA real estate market. Have a nice day. |

out of curiosity, have you volunteered with DALPA?
If I say yes, I'm part of the problem. If I say no, I'm not allowed to have an opinion. That question is the Kobayashi Maru of APC. Don't forget to log back in with the other account now. |
