I love everything else about the B&R and would buy it again knowing the J hook sucked.
I just use the strap that’s attached in the pouch at the top of the bag to loop through the handle on my backpack. Never bothered with a J hook. The strap might take .69 seconds longer to secure than just dropping handles in a J hook, but it has never failed me.

iirc, some folks have had an issue with keeping the B&R version of a J-hook attached to the rollaboard... is that still a thing, or has it be updated?

TIA.
use the strap, it's so much better.

I have a Brightline and the strap slides around the handle too much and the bag moves off center easily. Makes me look like a Newb when the airline pilot can't get his bags straight 😂

What llama said, plus the strap t-bar still falls off very easily.

I use the J-hook threaded onto the B&R strap; I remove the strap/hook and throw it into my flight kit whenever loading into a vehicle, overhead bin, etc.

Default B & R

I also use the B&R with a Contrail bag. https://contrailbags.com/

I believe B&R still offers a discount for DAL employees; when I purchased my bag, I verified my employment with Delta and got a 20% discount.

They did last year; but it’s a one time code for max 3 items. I’ll never buy another bag that isn’t Briggs. Awesome product

if you have access to AAFES (military version of Walmart) they routinely have sales on B&R gear, I’ve seen 30% last fall and tax free

Anyone have experience with the Black Aluminum Rimowa carryons? I ran into a delta pilot in Dublin and he said it was very nice but expensive… but a lot cheaper if you buy within a terminal on departure from Europe? Online these are 1K+ so guessing not many pilots dragging these around unless the terminal discount is substantial!

They gave us these bags at my old job. 100% would reccommend. They were great!
