Clubglove CG22, best bag I've used in 30+ years of flying. I've only seen one other pilot at Delta with one and he was just as jazzed with it as me. Perfect fit for the 73, light, durable and dimensionally somewhat unique but still "carry on legal". Can't believe this bag hasn't caught on. Don't pay list $$$.

As far as my old metal exoskeleton bag.... failed handle catch, bent frame, worn bearings, trashed hardwood floors. I had enough.

Anyone have experience with the Black Aluminum Rimowa carryons? I ran into a delta pilot in Dublin and he said it was very nice but expensive… but a lot cheaper if you buy within a terminal on departure from Europe? Online these are 1K+ so guessing not many pilots dragging these around unless the terminal discount is substantial!

Bit off topic, but if you’re looking to donate old luggage, there are numerous local charities that will forward your old bag to foster children.
These kids have it pretty rough. Many states force them to shuffle from house to house so they don’t get “too attached” to foster parents or siblings.
Plenty move their meager personal belongings from place to place in a garbage bag.

If you live in a big city, check around.
