Default Qantas 717’s.

Any guesses which North American carrier it went to?

I wouldn't get too excited. I expect they'll be cannibalized for parts and not flown in the Delta network.

Airtran looked at these years ago and decided they weren't worth the effort unless they got a deal as parts donors.

Correct. 14 of them, all parts birds. We need all the parts we can get.

We will know soon enough. Watch the new hire class drops and see if a lot of 717 slots show up.

I mean that's gonna happen anyway. The 717 fleet is growing from 65 flying aircraft to 88. Supposedly they're aiming to have all 88 back by the end of 2023.

They'll enjoy a massive rise in seniority over most of their peers. Sucks if you want west coast but great if they want specific days off, don't want to fly redeyes or have constant body clock flops and want DTW or ATL.

They keep saying that, hoping it actually happens.
