Same here. i'm 5'10' (and a half) and I usual wear a 40R'ish jacket, the 42S single breasted fit just right.

For one more data point, I have an Abbot’s 40R which fits great, but that size felt a little tighter in the new DB. I ordered a 42R DB, and it fit well.
