Spot on.

My favorite reply to the “I’m laid back….” CA proclamation was “I’ll be the judge of that!” Their response told me all I needed to know.

Anybody tried a pair of these for work shoes? The steel shank boots are becoming a hassle with a 90% "random" rate.

This reminds me of Grandma’s Boy so hard.

Adios turd nuggets!

I don't think the shade of your black pants really matters because new hires are getting vouchers to purchase their pants on zappos with approved options. For men its either Calvin Klein pants or Dockers. And between those two pants the colors are completely different. The Calvin's have a grayish pattern and the dockers are a shinny black. So it seems the company itself is creating a uniform color mismatch.

Aye Delta allowing alittle bit of swag now with the new socks after only allowing black socks for decades. Must mean no hats, ties and beards allowed right around the corner

There was a guy in DTW with that thing on, I saw it twice. I think he is/was on the 350.

Separate from DTW744B suspenders guy, who was not quite as slender.

I have the Chukka. love them, no issues getting through the mags with them on so far.

Thanks. It looks like I'm shoe shopping tonight.

I had my uniform fitting today. I went in dead sure I was going to get the double breasted...after trying them both on I ended up getting the single. Just a much cleaner, more modern look. I like the iconic look of the double, but the single looks sharp. Anyway, guess I'll just have to figure out what to say when someone asks if I fly for Skywest.

This is the best news.

is the new stuff machine washable though?

Crown 09-23-2023 05:19 AM

did the uniform fitting.

I'm honestly impressed with the jacket. It's comfortable, borderline stylish. The double-breasted fits like a single and frankly, looks like a single too.

Not too impressed with the pants TBH. Felt like a glorified set of Abbot pants. I did wear the Lululemon ABC's to the fitting and you cannot tell with the jacket, so that will not be a concern.

And I got free socks. :)

ABC classic right? The one with the back pockets on the inside?

Tags say 69% wool / 29% Cordura / 2% Spandex or something. Neither pants or jacket are machine washable…but I bet you could get away with the pants on gentle, cold, with woolite detergent and air dry. The fabric actually feels pretty nice, I just can’t understand why we needed a new style of double breasted….it’s 99% the same just has two ghost buttons now.

The button change is for efficiency on quick turns with a plane swap. 16000+ pilots saving precious seconds over 3 plane swaps per day should provide enough time to squeeze a 5th leg into every 717 pilot’s duty period. Extensions only required 69% of the time.

Probably because some muck-a-muck-executive wanted to put a feather in his cap and leave his mark on Delta. Change for the sake of change.

FYI, lulu’s with the uniform jacket look completely ridiculous. Yes, everyone that bothers to look can tell.

They are so similar that I'll probably grab the wrong one as I'm heading out the door to work. The variety of uniforms is going to be non-uniform.

ABC comes in "Trouser" and "5 Pocket".....both come in Classic and Slim Fit

The 5 Pocket has pockets like jeans...front pockets are more vertical and you can see the pockets on the back side.

The Trouser is the dress pants version.

you don't go to the bank to get 2 dollar bills?

I swear, with the decline in horse racing, pilots are the only thing keeping the 2 dollar bill afloat in this country
