I swear, with the decline in horse racing, pilots are the only thing keeping the 2 dollar bill afloat in this country |

For the walk-arounds during fall I have a zip up black fleece. |

How does it fit over your required uniform coat?

I suspect the CPO will be in force for uniform compliance (button jackets, hats, backpacks, ear buds, ...) once the new suits are here. |

It's better than asking for $1s.
We all got a chuckle at the pax reaction when the FA gave them $96 in change, all in ones. This was back in the day of fight engineers, $4 beers, people actually used money, and Delta was not cashless. I know.....unimaginable! Right? |

My wool coat fits over the top just fine. I made sure to get one that was just long enough to cover the bottom of the blazer. I won’t win the “toughest guy doing the -20° walk around in a short sleeve shirt” award, but I also won’t have frost bitten nipples.

what would make a hat more commutable? Making it collapsible?

If there was one thing that actually differentiated a DL pilot, it was the Double Breasted Jacket. I still can't believe they are letting go that brand image, but won't let go of the stupid hat... |

“Frost-Bitten Nipples” would be a great name for a rock band.

It's the pilots that can't tolerate change in the uniform. Every time options (double and single breasted, outdoor wear, etc) are suggested you get pilots bloviating about how "uniform" means
everyone has to look the same. |

This. I bet there could have been plenty of useable and smart uniform options by now…..if it weren’t for pilots who’s whole identity is wrapped up in that hat and brass buttons.

I went to the fitting. Just occurred to me I didn’t order a hat. Was I supposed to?

What does Hat 2.0 look like? How different can it be?

I was told at my fitting the hats won’t come until 2025. Don’t shoot the messenger.

The pants ran an inch or two big. The double breasted fit true to size. I thought the single breasted ran small. I would have had to gotten a size bigger for single-breasted, then had it tailored to have the waist taken in. That will probably be my captain jacket. In the meantime, ordered double breasted just because it didn’t need any modifications.
|
So if we are unable to attend a fitting and have to order in the blind, will there be a process to return/replace items that don’t fit?

Inseam measurement?
The pant inseam was weird. I’m a 30to31….and the fitter measured 29.5. I asked about that being short and the fact the drop-down menu started at 29” for a regular length. She said the inseam measurement was a bit lower on these pants…something about how it’s measured from the seam. Maybe…or maybe I’ll be that pilot with obnoxiously short pants. If that’s the case…I’m switching to yellow socks.

As a point of reference for others, the Tailored fit pants were spot on for me in size and so was the double breasted jacket.
I told them all the sizes I am for jacket and pants and everything fit perfectly the first time (blazer and tailored pants). |

I had the same issue for the inseam though. Normally I'm a 30", but they measured me at 27.5". The crotch didn't seem that much lower than usual, but if I'm not the only one, I guess it is. |
