The internet is a boon and a curse.
Time was (back in my day) if you wanted to know where the good, hidden swimming hole [clothing optional, but Jeebus, RECOMMENDED, what has been seen can't be unseen], you had to buy a book.
"Pancho Doll" wrote a couple. Used it. Awesome then, sucks now.
"Loved to death" is a real thing.
Swimming holes, secret fishing spots, off-menu items, the one public toilet in a major US airport that was obscure and not disgusting...all on the internet now.
