Default 2023 Sick Leave Incentive Results

Nobody got it.
I read the post on Deltanet and my eyes welled up a little.
I don’t think I have ever been prouder of a group of pilots.

Nicely done. The results only further highlight the absurdity of this “contest”. Every category losing is a win for the pilot group.

I think they should separate it into A and B contests.

Let's keep it up. ATL 765 wins.

Making the groups any smaller would heighten the chance that one day a pilot says “Maybe if I don’t call in sick for this next trip, I’ll stand a better chance of getting an extra IVD / VAC day.” Currently there are zero pilots company-wide thinking that way, as it should be.

If the company had it their way, they would probably change this contest to score sick usage on an individual basis.

As I sit, here, on my couch, sicker than a dog, after having flown with someone obviously sick...but super excited about the GS and holiday pay. Of course, they called it allergies, but was popping dayquil while in flight. I didn't really want use these Sugar Bowl tickets anyway

Uhhh....what?! I'd tell that person that they can either call out sick or we can chat with the CPO. Dayquil/dextromethorphan isn't allowed for flight and has a 48 hr DNIF period after taking.

I think winter skews the ATL 765. Most of those pilots are very allergic to all that seasonal domestic flying.

I think it’s 60 hours now. I just looked it up. 5 dosage cycles aka 60 hours.
