great point—from now on I’m sleeping in full kit (hat included!). Imagine the fatigue call from CDG…”I tried but was unable to get any rest on my break due to hat discomfort!”

Sure hope ya’ll eat your Qdoba in the ATL food court in full kit then, hat included! Actually finally makes sense now why the single breasted coat must have both buttons fastened at all times; wouldn’t want queso sauce to get on the freshly pressed shirt

Actually had an LCA say once we were supposed to have our hats at the food court or even if sitting at the gate chilling, waiting for a flight. Yes he was ATL based. Yes I also instantly changed the subject of the conversation because I didn't know if he was kidding or not.

If that LCA was serious, good luck enforcing that... It's one of the few 'rules' that is almost universally ignored. I don't recall ever once seeing anyone eating with the hat on. Even sitting at the gate waiting for a DH, almost never ever see a sitting pilot wearing a hat.
