Where are you guys using GE? I just cleared in DTW. Crew line face ID and I didn't even show my passport. I don't have it nor ever did. Even when it first came out I used the .gov mobil passport app instead.

this is how clear works (if I remember correctly) and the Digital ID now with TSA Precheck - they just scan your face and you show no documents going through security now

Not sure, I don't have any kids and my GF has GE. If I'm clearing customs, it's becuase I'm traveling for pleasure and just wondered if that option was available for that travel. The OP may only be talking about work.

I've always felt that the fed should have a consolidated security office and common standards. The basic standard should be pretty low, for stuff like Confidential clearance and global entry.
Then have an ala cart menu on top of that for additional requirements for more sensitive access and agency-specific needs. Waste of tax-payer $ that they have to do background checks on me and many others for SIDA and GE when I had SCI and OGA clearances a couple years ago
