Global Entry Denied

‘yes… check the website but there is a min age to apply. If they are younger than this age they can be dragged along with you… above the age and they can be denied (GE line without membership) and you all go though regular line.

Has anyone else had their application denied? Mine didn’t come back with a reason for denial just the “Denied”.
I did my interview in Dublin and yes I had two arrests in my closet. 1 shows up on my background check as “Fugitive of the Law”. I was 19 and had an unpaid speeding ticket. I was later pulled over and arrested for that warrant. I went to court, paid the ticket and it was over. The damn arrest reason on the FBI check sounds so dramatic like I was on the run! That was 30 years ago. The other was a DWAI from 17 years ago. I admitted to both and the girl interviewing me said that as long as it’s over 10 years ago, there shouldn’t be an issue.
Delta knew about both in the interview and I held a Top Secret clearance for 20 years until I retired last year from the military.
Everything I’m reading online says it’s a non issue as long as it’s been 10 years since. Mine are 17 & 30 years old.
There is an option on the website for “reconsideration” but you have to write a letter and submit documentation but of course it doesn’t say why I was denied so how am I supposed to provide documentation??
Has anyone else been denied or can help shed some light on this? Thanks.

Like others have said, any arrest seems to be an auto deny until you reapply and submit the pertinent legal records. My girlfriend got arrested in college for doing something stupid and she got denied on the first attempt. Did the “appeal” process with legal records and she got it approved the second time.

Customs and border control is the new TSA. Just pure theatrics. You’d think someone in our government would figure out people coming through the airports with a passport trying to return home are not doing illegal activities. It is too easy to not use an airport. I love coming back to my home country and being treated like dog poo for no reason. Customs agents are 10 times worse than TSA agents.

Just another example of heavy handed Big Brother government flexing their muscles on the people and putting on theatrics.
