Good afternoon,
I have my interview next month and retiring from the Army. I used Milkeep for my logbook. There are several ways to print it out and was wondering if any of you guys and gals had any suggestions on how to print it out and how to tab it. I heard that they need to be tabbed but what are you tabbing with military flight records. Thanks in advance.

Army Guy here: I tabbed getting my wings, each aircraft qual and any position upgrade in each aircraft. Tab any civilian checkrides you have (probably just your ATP ride). I also brought a second spiral bound book that had a print out of my 759 and 759-1's and graduation certificates for each course along with each refresher certifcate along with some of the civilian flight safety courses I'd attended.

I retired from the Air Force in 2021 after flying for 20 years. I recently moved an am no longer able to locate my individual sortie flight records. Does anyone know where to go to locate my individual sortie flight records now that I am a civilian?

Given that you retired about the same time, yours might be available via a military records archive search. Might start with MilConnect and see if they can help. Best of luck!

Logbook tip for pro pilots...
Your master logbooks are only ever in one of two places:
1. Your close personal possession.
2. A fireproof safe bolted to floor/wall frames in your house.
Not in your flight bag in your parked car, not in in a briefcase/laptop bag by the table at starbucks while you're in the restroom, not in a file cabinet, not in your garage, not in a box on a moving truck, etc.
Treat them like a firearm basically.
In this day and age you might also get away with a full and complete digital logbook with more than two backups. In that case I'd include images of early civilian logbooks to cover your initial training.

Good advice, Thanks,
How do you back up your digital logbook—do you prefer cloud storage, external hard drives, or another method? or all of the above
?
digital logbooks: which software or platform do you find most reliable?

For logbook software, there are several reputable options. LogTenPro is not inexpensive, but worth the effort until you get your forever job. I keep a backup in both the cloud and two separate thumb droves. That's the thing about digital backups, there really isn't a cost to having a bunch these days.

I've heard logbook pro is better for windows and logten pro is better for mac. Haven't confirmed that personally.
