Gotta get rid of OOBWS on the next contract.
Seriously? This again. I don't generally OOBWS much these days, but who cares. You passed on the trip for straight pay.......And OBTW I fly out of SLC. Good for them exercising their contractual right to improve their quality of life. I could two *******s about "your" GS.

Who goes to work needing favors from their peers? Who even remembers who took what trip? Are you keeping a list of these people? Are you checking this list anytime someone asks you for a favor?

I geet it. My OOBWS pays me more than your GS pay me... Fair enough, as long as it's in the contract, it's legit, and noone should give (too much) grief to any pilot for excercising thier PWA rights. But I also would like to see some serious curbs/limits on OOBWS.

Many have made the arguments 'why' before. Personally, I have zero issues with a NH who is stuck in thier intitially-assigned base bettering thier schedule, at least until they can AE to the easier-commuting base/where they live. I also don't have any issues with an occasional good deal for anyone. I do have an issue with those who live in one base, but bid another base for better seniority/trips/vacation/etc, and only OOBWS that base they live in. I've flown with a few. If you want to fly primarily out of a particular base, you should have to bid it, IMO. One way would be to limit the loophole to one OOBWS a month, except NH"s in thier intial assignment. But that will never happen.

Next contract we need to allow pilots to work over their vacations. Why is this not allowed? I could give two ***s about what you do over your vacation.

Pilots are their own worst enemy. OOBWS should be gone from the next contract. Feedback from my reps have said they hear it loud and clear.

Good. As long as it protects/exempts the NH who got hosed by what was available in indoc.

Yeah, because working over vacation and OOBWS are the same. Oh wait, they're not. One is allowed by the contract and the other is expressly forbidden. No need to save anyone from someone else's OOBWS.

Oh, and the chances of changing where OOBWS falls in the coverage next contract cycle is zero.

They are exactly the same. They provide the company with more flexibility and productivity to the detriment of the overall pilot group. But keep telling yourself otherwise.
