Have student at UF on travel passes…did 4 round trips this semester without a problem. Had to take first flight of the day a couple times. Football home game weekends can be challenging, and obvious school event stuff. Otherwise, on non event times, there seemed to be seats whenever we’ve wanted them. Haven’t heard or experienced any weight restrictions, but it’s always been 717

I am not a Delta pilot, however I do fly for a non Delta owned regional partner. We have family in Gainesville so I have made the trip several times. I fly at very low priority and I have never not made it onto the flight either direction. There was once where my son and I ended up with the last seats on the airplane, but every other time I easily made it and even got first class (who cares on the 717 though) a few times. My in-laws using the buddy pass which is about as low priority as it gets have also never not gotten on that leg before. So I would say for the most part, you should be good to go.
