The fact that the automation is not yet implemented is intentional as well as the lack of effort to get things correct during the extended process. There is an intentional delay to drag this into the next section 6 negotiation as a grievance to diminish the value of the PWA and use this sticking point (and others) to lengthen the PWA negotiation and timeline for a new amended agreement. This cycle has played out time and time again and the company sees it as a way to save money and lengthen the duration of the current PWA with no hourly rate adjustment upon amendability. People don't want to see this and that ALPA doesn't communicate the real efforts of management which have played out in every negotiation well enough for "new" pilots. The rapid growth of the last few years has made us vulnerable to these tactics because the institutional knowledge has been reduced and the education through experience hasn't occurred for the more junior folks who haven't been through multiple contract cycles. SCOPE rewrite was the grieved sticking point years ago, last cycle was Covid, this cycle will be pay and QOL implementation. They always find or luck into external events to drag it out. To restate :

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO ALL THE EXTRA EFFORT TO BE PAID CORRECTLY.

THE FACT THAT SOME PILOTS DON'T PUT IN THE TIME AND EFFORT TO AUDIT THOROUGHLY SAVES THE COMPANY MONEY AND IS THEFT AND THIS IS INTENTIONAL.
I don’t even know how to read a PAS statement. I’m probably getting reroute pay at the lower rate, but I don’t even know how to verify it. The hourly rate difference is only a dollar.

A dollar here a couple dollars there, spread that out amongst 17000+ pilots flying thousands of rotations and it adds up to big numbers.

As Not Enuf said, we shouldn't have to do forensic accounting on our pay every month. This is wage theft, and I'm very disappointed at the inaction of DALPA on this.

The last podcast episode implied that DALPA is working on a large case to take to a non-traditional venue for resolution. I believe there is a lot going on behind the scenes that we don’t yet know about.

I can't figure this out. Is podcasts in quotes because you think this one is not a real podcast or you just don't like all podcasts? It's just on-demand long form radio. Podcasts have made my commute much, much more tolerable.

The MEC Chair went on to the podcast and he said things that aren’t in any Union emails. Big things. You may want to open your aperture of information beyond emails if you want the full picture for being informed.

He doesn’t want to be informed. That much is clear. He’s set in his ways and the only section to look at is 3.

He doesn't do podcasts because they became popular after his personality and ego calcified. Everything new after that point in time is meaningless. Embracing new ideas and viewpoints is too risky.

Does ALPA publish the podcast transcripts?
