We have the ability to remove them from the union.

Kicked out of the union but everyone is still required to pay dues as a condition of employment, regardless of union membership.

That’s for extremely egregious actions. While there is precedent, it’s super rare. Just saying.

Not full dues but probably 75% give or take.

Knowingly and willingly screwing over every pilot in your Position/Category because you are so selfish seems like the anthesis of Unionism. Seems extremely egregious to me.

Reading this just triggered me into flashbacks and a panic fight or flight response.
This is the EXACT type of trip I did day in day out in my decade at the regionals. I never want to smell a trip like that ever again. That is the definition of the grind. I was so burnt out by the end of it I was in a horrible mood and dreaded going into every single trip. I'm not saying your wrong to like what you like but I want to advise lurkers to choose wisely. I have been there done that.

I want the easiest lowest block trips I can get as long as it doesn't significantly impact my total days off. I like more money for less work. That's my goal in life. Easy trips are good for my body and mind.

The CBA already requires all pilots to pay full union dues as a condition of employment, regardless of membership status.

I am also interested as to why it may be better, on the whole for pilots, to not lower the trigger (or have a trigger at all.)
Removing or lowering the trigger removes incentive for REG pilots to WS, meaning more uncovered trips in OT and higher RES usage. It also encourages the behavior like SS of dropping everything just to grab 2x pay since it is easier to get GS with a lower trigger.

Yeah and the mil leave abusers will go crazy with that. They already do it with SS.
