It doesn’t matter if the GS is for two days out, the math simply doesn’t work. There’s people at 80% with slips thinking they’re going to get a 23M7 payment. No you’re not. It’s a negotiation which we will leave for Section 6 but the current environment even with QS is not sustainable. |

There are people at 90% system wide getting one or two 23m7 every month. So this is patently false.

I submit they have been very lucky then, and are probably in a tiny category. Don’t think that’s any kind of widespread.
The only times the super senior pilots get 23M7 is when CS decides to not even start the step of coverage - which is most of the time - but often they do run some or most of a step before giving up and moving on. |

It’s very easy for Junior to get 23M7. All that needs to happen is CS runs part of the OOBWS step, but decides to give up when it is during your acknowledgement window. It’s much more likely to happen in bigger categories actually - more opportunity. I know plenty of quite junior pilots that luck into one or two a month, which is thousands of dollars for free.

If we can’t talk about what we see as issues and what we want fixed here we might as well shut down this forum Negotiatiors say X is worth $$$$$ to the pilots Screenshots say X is worth $$ to the pilots |

STOP PICKING UP TRIPS FROM Sr guys in the swap board. They will be forced to fly them and the Jr guy will get the SS or 23M7.
Between some blue days and/or the ability to swap away your schedule, most senior pilots don't even need guys to take their trips.

Yup I think OOBWS with AA is toast after section 6 and I bet the company will be ready to compensate us well for it. Most of the pilot group doesn't even like OOBWS. I use OOBWS quite frequently for certain DH parameters but willing to let that go to put an end to this juvenile OOBWS fishing behavior
Same.

I agree, just don't say what you'd give up for it. Once you put a value on it you are potentially hurting the outcome. If too many people do that, it becomes ammo.
Negotiatiors say X is worth $$$$$ to the pilots Screenshots say X is worth $$ to the pilots I don't disagree generally, but save a few posters, most don't put a price tag on it. Saying I'm willing to see OOBWS move down the ladder, as long as we get something significant in return, doesn't really tell the company much. If it puts the bug in their ear, I actually hope they see it. |

Im not disagreeing with any of that, just saying it’s super hit or miss for Junior to get a 23M7. Just sheer luck, and nothing consistent.
Regardless, that’s about to end with QS, I suspect. |
