Default Red in bid calendar…

Looking at my December calendar in Navblue the 25th and 26th as well as 30th, 31st, January 1st and 2nd are red…..I’ve never noticed that before. What’s it mean?

Navblue has added red dates to the PBS Calendar. These dates have no effect on bidding and only represent the "blackout dates" for a very small subset of pilots who wish to slide PVAC regardless of coverage up to three days in accordance with PWA 7.E.7.b Exception. Navblue was asked to remove the red dates from the PBS Calendar back in July. You can ignore the red dates you see in November, December, and January.

Awesome thanks! I’ll leave this thread up for anyone wondering the same thing…

Default PVPP and PVAC

Does anyone know the answer to this?

I used the first 2 days of my PVAC for IVD’s.
so my PVAC and PVPP (2 days off prior to PVAC) are separated by a gap of 2 days on the PBS calendar.

trying to slide my PVAC in December.

do those PVPP days automatically rejoin my PVAC at some point and slide with my vacation or do they stay separate?

when I put in the vacation slide in PBS it shows 2 different vacation options to slide:
PVPP
PVAC

which just makes me curious how that will all go down.
thank you if you have any thoughts or experience with this

The PVPP should rejoin your PVAC. I did this in November -- IVD the first 2 days of PVAC. Not sure how long it takes to show up on your schedule.

I had similar in Sept, but I had to slide both weeks as though they were independent in PBS.

I can not help you out with a knowledgeable answer but I will add this - I think you just opened a wormhole in the PBS scheduling universe.

Can you slide more than 3 days over those red days? I’ve got 6 in December and I am looking for a spot for them.

You can do anything as long as there isn’t interference from a coverage award.

PWA allowed, or realistically possible? I’ve never had any luck sliding vacation out over Christmas.
