Default New! Improved? Vacation bidding

Since I'm dumb and deeply suspicious of anything new (because I get burned often) how does one 'save' the vacation bids using the new system? The info from ALPA says the following -

How to Bid
Vacation bidding is new for the 2026-27 vacation year and uses the new Vacation Bidding Tool interface. Once on the main home page, you can select “Create Bid” and place your preferences for the respective round of bidding. Multiple bids can be placed for each round of bidding, similar to monthly schedule bidding in PBS. Once SAVED, each bid can be edited as needed until the bid round closes.

Note the word "saved".

Thanks

Does anyone know if they have reconciled this new system with purchasing and adding days to your vacation?

The only link/button I saw was "Place Bid."

I think he's talking about once you put in your weeks for PVC you can sort them in any order you want. At the bottom of that screen is a "SAVE" button.

Once you create a bid it's in there. I don't think there is a submit button. You just go in there put the weeks you want for PVC consideration, sort them if you want (that's the screen with "SAVE). then exit. I don't see a SUBMIT button anywhere and the memo doesn't describe this either.

On a related note, when do December bank transactions get posted?

Bank transactions aren’t final until the bid period ends.

Dec is not different than any other bid period....bank transactions are always at the end of the period.

Default New Vacation bidding app

The New Vacation bidding app handbook is mediocre at best. First, it's tough to find on DeltaNet, second the images or screenshots they use in the examples are all blurry and in many spots unreadable. But more importantly our contract states, "As per the Pilot Working Agreement, the available vacation periods will be posted on January 1st." This will be displayed on the new app with "The numbers below the dates on Sundays indicate the number of available slots each week." Those numbers are NOT displayed in the app yet. In the words of Judge Smails (Caddyshack) "Well...we're waiting!"

Why does non-compliance not surprise me? Well the day isn't over and you've sounded the alarm so some intern who was planning on watching football all day is now driving into the ironclad brickopolis in surprisingly light traffic cursing the entire way.

They are there. Just click create bid, then click the calendar icon on the Primary line.
