Everyone on here is arguing in circles. Its actually worse than FB where people post they have been on hold with CS for 5 hours.
The entire DBMS and Icrew system needs to be nuked and started over. We should not have "slips" like this is 1991 and there is some scheduling lady in the CPO like I have heard stories about. There should not be multiple 12 min windows to decide if you want to work or can make a commute. We should not have "PCS runs" Reserve needs completely overhauled so they actually use who is supposed to be used or who wanted to proffer for a trip/short call. 23m7, Arcos, coverage ladder, its all ancient garbage and now its news because it has completely failed to keep up with complexity of a modern airline. until then the wheels keep spinning in the mud. Maybe some guys make some money in the short term, but long term the wheels are spinning and this bus is not moving. I would hope the company knows this - and knows that they need an entirely new system for pilot scheduling and they will need to bring a ton of QOL and some $ to the table to sell the pilot group on it quickly. or we can just keep typing about non-sense on here |

12 minute windows are bad....... no proffers just hope you set up your slips correctly? Oh slips are bad, as opposed to? Don't get me wrong, the system ain't perfect and definitely needs work. But I think we are quick to want to throw out a lot of safeguards we take for granted. Look at our premium opportunities compared to other carriers. You have some places where they go from 100% to 125% to 150% etc, some places where they don't even have 200%, very modern systems that look nice but are riddled with bots or guys refreshing every 2 seconds all day long for first come first serve. Our swap and drop rules blow so many others out of the water even with garbage preposted rest and inadequate staffing. Modernize IT, automate, get some sort of batch size or way to move things faster (without spamming the entire category), simplify the slips, etc and I think we'd have a much smoother operation while preserving the premium opportunities that many others are envious of. |

Do you have any solutions to offer to replace our PCS and slip system that honors seniority to the extent it is honored today? I’d like to hear of the alternatives.
look at what UA uses and buy that flica works for some places but the bots kind of killed that maybe buy sked+ from OO because even that is slightly better than icrew This could all be done with software improvements. I have seen the DBMS interface. I cannot believe that the same company that speaks at CES and is the airline of the sphere which is the most technologically advanced entertainment venue in the world……uses a DOS based system to schedule crews sorry I want to destroy everything the pilot group is used to for 30+ years, but it’s obviously failing right and I don’t see how it’s gets “fixed” without completely starting over |

The system isn’t broken. It’s generally honors seniority, which is a feature, not a glitch (as opposed to leveling every slip in the name of “fairness”). It needs to be smoothed out. My biggest fear in this negotiating cycle is that the union screws it up. We have some leverage this cycle. The operation, on the other hand, is overloaded and needs to be dispersed to bring back reliability. My opinion is we’re running the operation in a 2014-2018 environment. We’re past that in terms of spending, wealth concentration, who our target customer is, etc. I’d like to see us pivot in a new strategic direction, focusing on high income hubs, to include a few new ones, and make sure we secure renewal of the AMEX partnership in 2029. |

It's the interface for them that is awful, iCrew needs to be shot and then launched into the sun. Keep the basic functionality of PCS and slips though, because a free for all sucks rocks. |

Whose going to take those trips? Middle of the night call to report early. No commuters are taking it and with the amount of premium going out most locals are just going to wait for something a little more gentlemanly.

We didn't "break" anything. They did. It's been broken since late 2018. We are not the ones trying to get more blood from the turnip. They are. We exercise our contract. A contract we BOTH agreed to.
Try to remember what side of this equation you're on. Thank you. Try to not be so naive. |
