Seems to be the pattern right now is every 2 weeks for the PARB.

Did they tell you today? When did you interview?

Any idea when next board meets? Do they still continue doing the background/pria in the meantime so I can get a classdate ASAP?
Thats the thing, how do you really know it went great? They could be smiling and nodding and it seems like both sides are having a nice back and forth conversation, but in reality they are destroying you on their clip board as they jot down notes and irregularities. I thought my shrink talk went ok too, but off to the PARB I went. Hired though thankfully. I remember she asked me what my favorite alcoholic drink was, and I answered WAY too fast on that one. That was probably what got me flagged. Should have given that answer a few more potatoes before blurting it out!!

Congrats on making it into the hiring pool. What a relief!

That seems rather unfair. I'd hem and haw if you asked me my favorite non-alcoholic drink, but if you asked me my favorite alcoholic drink, I'd spit it out like that. No one wants to be the guy standing at the bar being a dope when it's 5 people deep. You know what you like. It's instinct!

I wasn't flagged, for the record. I didn't get asked any alcohol questions though, in fairness to you

Same thing happened to me. Am in the PRB purgatory. I answered yes to "have you ever drank to excess" or something like that. She asked me about it and I just said yeah in college 20 years ago I'm sure there were times I drank a bit too much. Now 3 drinks in night feels like too much the next day, haha. If anything it means I'm a lightweight now, not that I have a drinking problem. The whole process is really handled poorly in my humble opinion. Get a form email and then no info for two weeks. Not very professional.

Why handled poorly? Something flag you and now you have to wait for the decision. It can or can’t be the alcohol question. Maybe the way you answer or your body language or something else. Maybe they’ll look if you had a DUI or if something else in your record. Maybe they’ll review your panel questions and be “get this person, it fit us” or “hey, we are going to pass on it”.

It doesn’t mean won’t get hired and it doesn’t mean that you have to get daily/weekly emails/phone calls for your desperation.

Once the process is done, you’ll get the answer they have for you. After that you either will be in the pool waiting or rejected.

Waiting a few weeks, even a few months, for a decision on a multi, multi, million dollar career when they only had barely a day to evaluate you, is hardly "unprofessional."

IMHO your answer to that question seemed reasonable. I have no idea if they agree. They're likely looking at a lot of things.

Have patience and best of luck.

Received the dreaded PARB email this past week after taking the MMPI twice. Any recent intel on when the last batch of review board emails were sent out?

Default PRB

Mine was two weeks later but could just be the timing of when they meet from my interview. I assume they meet every two weeks...
