Unhappy

I may be wrong, but didn't their shrink from the early 80's commit suicide?

He grew weary from all of our "no $hit, there I was...." stories....

While I hope to be in the 85%, I empathize with you.
Sorry, I was on a trip and couldn't get to a computer...

AK was good about it. No other info though. He said he is not privy to the WHY. He even offered to help me at another carrier with a personal rec. Nothing else though. Just sorry, you won't be working for Delta. AK is a good dude; I got the impression he doesn't like the process but is stuck with it for now.

As far as the suicide of the shrink's father, that is rumored even at DAL. I don't think anyone really knows but it sure is a good story (10% rule may be in effect).

That means you are still in the loop, and that is GOOD news. I got my "cleared to start training" e-mail today, but no phone call yet for class date. Hang in there Razor, you will get in !

Darn - got the email saying I've got issue with the psychological testing. Anyone know when the next board is meeting? <sigh>

they won't say for sure (HR doesn't even know in advance when they will be), but it looks like a board just took place within the last week or so, or is just about to take place (we've gotten some conflicting info from different sources). If you just got the email, you'll need to expect to meet the next board which based on previous timeframes will be in about 3 -5 weeks. You may not get the results back right away after your board, these last guys had to wait up to 2 more weeks while references were checked or something like that. (Sorry for the bad news.) I've been waiting 5 weeks now and I know C-17 Driver from the last board waited 6 before getting the nod.

Thanks for the information - it's helpful.

It's a bit frustrating we can't do more, but I guess they have their process and it produces pilots they like.

Hang in there. The odds have been pretty good so far. However, and this is not a cliche, hope for the best, yet prepare for the "worst."

How long after the conditional offer do you know if there is a psychological issue? Do they contact you right away?
