Since thay are admitting that with the “planned” early outs we will be pilot neutral I would expect them to be clearly explaining the number of growth position we can expect from the 717s as well as the MD90s and 737-900s. Since they are not this leads me to believe that the total result of aircraft deliveries and retirements will not result in any noticeable increase in pilot staffing.

Council 44 in the lounge reported that the 717 would bring 1100 jobs. Gain 250-300 from early retirements and lose 250-300 from reserve changes. Just reporting.....

Do you believe that Delta would walk away from a good deal on these 717s without a TA? If not then the growth would come regardless. Do you fall for the idea that they would only replace 50 seat lift? I don't. I think these planes are coming either way.

did they mention their plan on reducing the jumbo RJs after 2015?

We have a plan on when they'll increase given the reported 717 deliveries, just wondering what the plan is on dropping their numbers from 325 to 300 to 250 to 200 and so on?

Didn't hear anything about that. Have you asked your rep? If so, what did they say? If not, then do it.

Do you know the details of the 717 deal? I don't, so I can't really say either way. The company can sell every single 757, 767, and 777, the day after we sign this... we have no control on how they plan their fleet and which routes they fly them on.

He may have been the Council 108 Chairman during all but the last month of the RUNUP to C2K, but he was not Council 108 Chair during the final negotiations of, voting, or the duration of C2K!

A PM acknowledgement of same will do!;)

So the Airtran pilots are coming with the aircraft.

I kid, I kid. :D

Interesting that this is not being said elsewhere. Also, that would indicate no parking of any current airplane and staffing the 717s at 12.5 pilots per plane which is a little high.

I already knew the answer. It's in the contract.

Waiting for the announcement that the completion of the JFK terminal is contingent on us passing this TA.
