Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
My interview to class date spread was 3 months. I'd think invites will go out next month or september if the rumors of newhires by the end of the year are true.

The fall AE will likely smooth out the over/under staffed categories but I wouldn't count on huge requirements for more pilots overall. The first thing the company is going to do is cash the huge check we wrote them with the productivity improvements. The higher ALVs and flying reserves more hours and making July and August into 30 day months, etc. etc. will allow them to run the airline with a lot fewer pilots.
I still would update my stuff to show interest, though. When it starts, it could become very interesting.

Subject: Distinction between Guts and Balls
I don't know why this made me think of Ferd.
Distinction between Guts and Balls
To those of you who are nit-pickers about the meaning of words: there is a medical distinction between Guts and Balls. We've all heard about people having Guts or Balls, but do you really know the difference between them?
In an effort to keep you informed, here are the definitions:
GUTS
- is arriving home late, after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the Guts to ask,
“Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?”
BALLS
- is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, with lipstick on your collar,
and slapping your wife on the butt and having the Balls to say, “You're next, Chubby.”
I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions.
Medically speaking, there is no difference in the outcome.
Both result in death.

Reserve Green slip with CQ pay question
On the time card under "Credit Applicable to Reg G/S Slip Pay": Does this show the running total pay for reserves as well?
Further down it shows "Res Assign-G/Slip Pay". I did a G/S worth 7:42 and it shows that.
I ask because I have CQ this month and the ALV is 79:30. Under the new contract this would be 77:30. However with CQ I have a "Credit Applicable to Reg G/S Slip Pay" of 79:45.
My main question is will I be paid 79:45 (Credit Applicable....) plus 7:42 (G/S)? Or will I be paid 79:45? I'm wondering if I did this greenslip for no additional pay.
Thanks for the insight.
