I commute so would have to sit in a hotel or crashpad. Still not really difficult to hit answer on my cell if it rings. Contractually you are not on duty until you report at the airport for the trip. FAR's also don't have you on duty until that point. Whitlow is a rest based look back that requires 8 hours of rest in any 24 hour period. Its not considered duty.
I believe that according to the FAA, if you are on call, you are not at rest.

True. Then again, W., who started as more of a conservitive than Romney, ran as a fiscal conservative, no nation building, humble foreign policy and downsizing the government and what we got was the biggest expansion and debt load by anyone (until this guy). And now this guy's supposed opposite is a neo con half lib from as left wing a state as you can find.

Congress is 10 times more crucial in this election than the White House is.

Its not rest, but its also not duty. All you have to have is the lookback to be legal.

The only thing this new policy will accomplish is to reduce security.
In order to remember all these changing passwords guys will have to write them down in their wallets or keep them in their phones somewhere. Or they will have to use passwords that will be easier for them to remember and therefore easier for someone to guess. Combinations of birthdays or addresses or anniversaries or pet's names, etc. etc.

That's really sad. I don't dispute that. But, knowing what I know, we're screwed. What a country.

The rest of corporate America's schedule isn't as variable as ours.

No the log in to multiple systems each day. It's a Microsoft thing. All backbones have it.

Do what Ferd suggests and fight things that really matter. Have a eight number two Alpha password and change the alpha part as required. No big deal.

Not true. My number generation is 100% random but one I memorized. Try an aircraft fuel weight if you have an issue.

Again, in the scheme of things does this really matter?
