You might get get round two. Many years of expense account living makes me the quickest wallet draw in the Southeast. I've beat a 727 Captain on a green slip with conflict before

Be great to have you back!

Read the memo on DLNET. We're still waiting for the network guys and the MBAs to decide which way we'll go for next summer before we really start to do anything. I think this bid is positive with 86 more openings than displacements and while I don't want to put too much sunshine on your doom and gloom parade, WB A positions generate the most training events and as folks move up they'll have to replace some of them. The largest category to lose folks to the RMA was the 7ERA and they didn't take the opportunity to further shrink the ATL 767 category.

For all of your ulcers' sakes, lighten up! For the record, I was a no voter.
Very true, its also a conservative way to put the bids out there. If most take it they can award more. As for FO's they are not putting them out there because 1) that is where most to over staffing is, and 2) putting openings out there would cause consternation and teeth gnashing if many pulled their paperwork and the positions were not awarded. On the A side, they are making best guess on what will stick with some conservative slop.

I know Elvis90 has been getting hammered on M88 B reserve. If anything, we are properly staffed. Definitely not overstaffed IMO.

Didn't they also announce a further 5% capacity reduction?

One month out of 12 is acceptable to award a ton of GS's. This is likely to be the new norm with being able to staff for winter and flex in summer.

Also remember that the company gets to determine the retirement date of all the RMA participants, so if the dates that guys are scheduled to go is after the new year, then there is no need to train the replacement quite yet....

That and the simulator moves to ATL that limit throughput right now....

But by all means, print out the next few AE's and add them up.

I have never used the bank before. I dropped a reserve day in July and was wondering if it's too late to use the bank to get full pay for July and if so how do I do it? No luck trying to figure it out on my own.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

I didn't know I was supposed to charge them for it!

Here I've been giving it away, free, for years!

If only I'd been charging, I might have made enough to retire.

Speaking of capacity reductions - If Delta says they are reducing capacity 5% without any further amplification, the cuts could come from anywhere.

It could be all DCI, could be Pacific, Atlantic, Domestic mainline, or a combination of all. So just saying DAL will reduce 5% without the specifics really does not tell you much.
