Deep Thought

We all know women's volleyball could be played in sweatpants.

But it's not.

And so we all watch it even though we barely understand it.

Quick contract question... I was assigned a Green Slip today (only my second in 4 years). I have a regular four day trip starting on Thursday. This Green Slip trip puts me at around 29:30 in 7 days. If we get delayed tonight and I'm in violation of 30 in 7, will they just take a couple legs off my next trip to keep me legal or will they drop the trip entirely? If they drop the trip, do I still keep my pay guarantee? Finally, will I have recovery obligations if the four day trip gets dropped? I've read the PWA and I think I understand how this works, but I'm just double checking. Thanks!

If only there were an "Underboob Olympics", we wouldn't even have to -pretend- to like it!

I though so too.

Are the Comair crj 700's and 900's going to Pinnacle?

Even if they do, how does that offset the loss of Pinnacle 900's and Colgan Q 400's?

Dont know who started this comair planes and pilots are coming to pinnacle rumor. Seems like a load of poop to me. First off, Comairs 200's are going to the desert. Go Jet had already said they were going to operate up to 26 700's so there is the 700's right there. Finallly the 900's comair operates is a perfect opportunity for Delta to exchange 2 or even 3 to 1 with 200's with someone.

Pinnacle will lose 200's though, thats for certain!

They will drop what they need to and nothing more. It may be a turn in the middle of the day, or it may be the last round trip. Its their discretion and they will only do it once the last days, projection is over 30 hr in seven days.

Read the PWA... They are not "asking for people to take September". The KLOA is for people who have known absences occurring... Jury duty, dental work, planned surgeries, etc. they will block your schedule accordingly.

Also those numbers of guys out for those event used to not be included in the contractual staffing formula and now those will. It is actually one of the items (albeit smaller items) that eats away at the "300 pilot reduction" number tossed around.

My guess is interviews starting after new year and classes by early spring for all the 717/739's that start arriving in the summer.

When I read this, I thought it didn't sound right. Posted on the Crew Resources page is a list of the categories that KLOA is available in for September. It is unpaid personal leave that leaves you in an active payroll status. The only thing it has to do with jury duty, dental work, etc. is that it can't be used concurrent with paid leaves of any sort. So it is "time off" without pay, but you can bid for it between 31 & 36 days ahead of the bid period that you want to use it. It is new WRT the PWA and seems to take the place of SILs. If someone has better info, please post it.

Thanks, acl. Would I be pay protected for the dropped legs?

They will probably just drop the last two legs of the trip if it's a turn. You will still receive rotation guarantee.
