I hope we've learned to ask for the cash up front.

The new reserve bucket system with short call bucket system added to the mix:

I still think there is something inherently wrong with a system that can get a guy to bucket 3 and still have that pilot be #1 for SC and go right back out on another trip with other pilots sitting in bucket 1 with 0 flight hours. And I'm not talking about a guy sitting at 100% in category vs someone sitting 50% in category, I'm talking about 80% in category vs someone at 75% both in the weekends off crowd.

But I know the standard line, the new reserve system was exactly designed to bring seniority back to the reserve system. The system operates like the old system. It is what senior pilots demanded and we acted accordingly.

I got the emails.

I agree FTB. We could balance this a little better so that senior guys on reserve do some work.

Standing by for it to change when I'm senior.

I can't really offer any insight since I haven't been on reserve for quite awhile but, I think the smaller the base, the more it seems to be equitable. Junior CA's I fly with seem pretty happy. Senior guys, not so much.

I do think that scheduling still has way too much leeway in how they assign SC, slips, etc. It def needs to be more transparent.

Raise your hands if you saw the girl and looked to the left and were surprised it was Denny?

Well, those with your hands raised are fools.

It's Denny Crane!

A buddy of mine (ATL 73N) had a good question the other day - what happened to long call? He hasn't been on long call once all month. He's either had a trip the day before or have been on SC.
