Well I guess I'll have to go to the DALPA board and re-read the notes, because about all I got out of what was posted here was...
Blah blah blah, Blahbubudy blah blah...and WEAR YOUR HATS!
Oh crap, was I not supposed to tell all the others carriers that we have to wear our hats??
dammit, now she'll turn me into a Newt again! (well...I got better)

[QUOTE=capncrunch;1278953]I would take it as a positive sign. Clearly something in those notes was dead on and mgmt does not want that out for public consumption. Aka, we were getting true news. That's good to know.
Yea it is WAS a good thing. Knowing that mgmt reads this board is one thing, knowing they have ANY link at ALL to any forum moderators, will have that(not-illegal) " true news and opinion" dry up fast.

That's how it's always been.

That's why you give your APC password to your wife and let her post here while you are at work!
(btw wives, we need more underboob, so get on that!)
If you are worried about wearing your Hat in the terminal, put Tin Foil in it. Then they can't read your mind. Also makes reroutes hard (can't access to the GPS tracker implanted during the interview medical).

How would you get a phone call about "it" ?
I thought this forum had nothing to do with DL, but mgmt obviously knows who to call to take care of something they don't like here? *** ?
What if our moderator was a united guy? Who would they call then?
When Mgmt has APC moderators on speed dial, its time to clam up folks!!!!!!
Only speak on here what you would directly say to MGMT !!!!!!!!!!

FBF,
Don't sweat it. ACL is doing the right thing. I would hate to see the information shut down on the DALPA board because management does not trust the pilots not to post on public forums.
Lets post and read about the more sensitive stuff on the DALPA boards and stick to wild speculation, complaining about no hiring (sucks) and underboob (good) on this board.

I have always assumed that they are watching, but I think many on here (that dont share who we are to a soul) would be VERY surprised if "they knew who we are", and more importantly how did they get this information?

Perhaps a dose of reality.
I'm pretty sure Mr. Anderson has better things to do with his time than read Flight Info. For sure, if I had his money I'd be trying to decide whether I'd get out the P51 or the Extra 330SC this afternoon.

The potential problem I see is a conflict of interest, if management really did come to anyone on this board asking for information that could potentially harm a fellow union member. That could be a pretty tough position to be in.
- Line Check Airmen is as close as management has to a "pilot to pilot" committee.
- Some Line Check Airmen enjoy being the "first" to spill the inside scoop
- Having the FO turn around and say, "yeah I read that on Flight Info a week ago" is a real buzz kill
- The inside information gets less accurate with each re-telling
- Potentially, someone might write something management, or ALPA, would prefer to forget, like, "Steve Dickson said if we vote for this TA there will be hiring this fall" when the reality is, hope you are nostalgic for what you flew half-a-decade ago, beacuse that's what you are going to be able to hold in the fall displacement.
