So, what will that translate into profit sharing. Oh, wait, we re-negotiated that, didn't "we". (my cynical side getting the best of me these days....)
Alright... time to finish that CQ CD...
and update landings...
But Newk's Bears are so interesting and down by 8 runs I just know the Cardinals will come back and win. They're scary people.

<Put pinky finger to corner of mouth> The earnings will be.......ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
Seriously they said to analysts that they would have a 10-11% operating margin. On a revenue base of about $9.5 billion per quarter that would mean an operating profit of around $1 billion. Take out $250 million for interest and other items and you get to around $750 million pretax profit for the quarter. There will most likely be additional profit from fuel hedges and additional writeoffs for the early retirement programs.

We might have taken a big hit on the profit sharing for this year. Depends on the level of profits.
Read the fine print.
We still get the 15% this year but the 20% doesn't kick in until profits reach $2.5 billion.
It used to start at $1.5 billion in the previous contract.
It will be interesting to see how much we gave back with that item.
It will be REALLY interesting in 2013 when the 15% drops to 10%.
That little detail could cancel out our entire 4,8,3,3 "raise".
It's OK though. We brilliantly negotiated to work more hours each month to make up the loss.

Not exactly true.
