Exactly correct. This is a different time now. Many in our former MEC bureaucracy have great allegiance to management. They've signed Non-Disclosure Agreements allowing them to just the right amount of "inside data" to keep them feeling like they're management insiders. They truly see their jobs as gaining as much inside information as possible to determine the best course of action, create the "done deal", then put our reps in the position of going along or being the spoiler. This is our new dynamic and it's showing no signs of changing. It makes LEC meetings meaningless as is proven by the examples JungleBus states above.

The lack of meeting attendance could be viewed as acquiescence to this new reality. But 5,100 cards sent to a website and an idea might say otherwise.

You whine because the results don't fit YOUR set of politics.
Clamp is exactly correct. Turnover has nothing to do with what he's saying. The question is: Will this turnover be rendered meaningless by Mr. Moak doing more Pinnacle-style deals without any DALPA involvement at all? Was that a one time event, or was Mr. Moak shooting across our bow by saying: "Change all the personnel you want, but if they don't agree with me...I'll show you how fast I can make them irrelevant."

That's the politics many of us are speaking about. Now if you really want to engage on this issue, answer those concerns. Again it's not about the bottom up ability to create turnover, it's about the ability for bottom up changes to operation.

As much as I would love to see some mainline narrow body aircraft at SEA to compete with AS and SWA, you know that DAL would start out with RJs first!

Absolutely amazing event today. That was "only" about a 300 kiloton blast and exploded 15-20 miles up- and look at the damage it caused.
I wonder how many pairs of shorts had to be changed that day...

We have been told many many times that DALPA is a union and ALPA is an association because the RLA prohibits ALPA being a union (or something to that effect). So, if Moak cuts deals with DAL without DALPA involvement, hasn't he already shown his hand?

I'm becoming a little bit concerned, because some of the rumors are turning more positive. At times, I've noticed those are used to offset some sort of ugly reality, existing or impending.

I think it's all a nefarious plan to drive down the AS stock price before we buy them. We are a cynical crowd, aren't we?

Woah! I've been lumped in with sailingfun & slowplay! I guess I need to reduce my optimism about Delta!
