The 'network' might be, but the airline is not. We are shrinking. Period. Will it change? Maybe. But now, we are shrinking.

I have to apologize for that part being left out. There was no intent to do so. My last response to you was composed over the course of probably 45 minutes or more as I kept leaving and coming back to it, had to re log in, etc.. I do not recall even seeing that portion at the time. Not sure what happened there.

I agree with it, and had I seen it, could have saved myself alot of time....

Ok. That explains it. It's because I added it in after the initial post. You probably quoted me before I added it. Sorry again for my lack of cordial conversation.

Ahh.... Now I see. Glad that's what it was 'cause I was really starting to wonder about myself for missing that entire section...

My apologies as well.

As to whether guys will make it to 65, seems to me if you make it to 60 you can get to 65. Especially since a lot of these guys tend to be in pretty good shape.

I'm pretty sure someone in Crew Resources is smart enough to make a histogram.
The company bought people off to prevent furlough. They are not going to buy pilots off to hire replacements.

Park the 88 fleet and replace it with more large regional jets?

And you think after the company spends millions of dollars for the 88 fleet cockpit refresh that they'll park them? This management team is smart. They expect a ROI with everything. The M88s are scheduled to be around a long time. They have the most life left in them out of any fleet at Delta. And who will fly more RJs? They can't hire people to staff them now.

Couple this with agreeing to further productivity increases, and the stagnation has turned into heavy displacements to lower paying aircraft.

None of our careers will get better until we fight for what is important. And that is our flying of our brand.
