Just wondering. How often are you delayed and waiting at the gate for your weight and balance numbers? As a North Guy, with the way things go now, I can ell you that over 90% of the time we get our "numbers" after pushback. I know ramp will change the way they do things, but can you say "Detroit." :)

New K Now

Almost 95% of the time they are ACARS'd to us before the gate agent reaches the cockpit with the final paperwork. The other 5% of the time usually is rectified when the tug driver gets on the headset and you tell him you are still waiting for the numbers. Once he coordinates that, most often last minute cargo, you get the numbers within another minute or so.

I know NWA's system was much slower. In a past life when dealing with it, it was not a rare occurrence to pull over to the run up pad and wait for them.

Yeah, that's pathetic.

Well, it appears Delta is quietly asking the DOT to allow Alaska Airlines to perform Delta's narrow body flying. Read for yourself:

This is a pretty big deal.

Oh, Bar this just can not be. Every Rep I spoke to before voting on the Joint Contract said that they would only feed LAX from SEA and PDX.....

Of course Lee said told me the line would be drawn at 70 seats.... It's that whole Section One thing. Obviously, we don't have the big picture.

Wow, what a good find this is. You would think the union would be doing this. Or are they?

Agreed. I will be making a few calls come monday morning. I would recommend everyone here doing the same. We'll see who knows what. I have a feeling that we will be making a play for Alaska. Just too much stuff that they know we will call them on.

I know of several displaced LAX73N Captains that will be none to pleased about this. I'm none too pleased about this.... I bid the LAX 73N in hopes of growing with the international feed in LAX. I've flown to PVR 60-70 times and CUN around 30 in the last 18 months. This flying is almost non existent the last two months. Perhaps H1N1. I guess that's all We're all frogs in the frying pan and I tell you boys, it's getting a little F'in hot in here for me.

Someone please tell me, Is Lee Moak and our MEC representing our career interests or merely facilitating all of the requests from our company. When I saw the MidWest 717 at terminal 4 in LA morph into a EMB175 I knew we were in trouble. I'm afraid the battle has just begun and we are being attacked on most every front.

I will send a copy of the request to let Alaska do our Mexico flying to Boyd Kelly (LAX LEC FO rep) on Monday.

It just never ends......... I've had just about enough!

TC et al, THIS sucks. Great for AK, great for corporate DAL, not so great for DAL pilots....especially those of us flying the 73 in LA.

It seems that the erosion never stops...... What will it take to simply just allow the Delta Pilots to fly Delta routes, or is this just a fading dream? Such a disappointment.... particularly in my Union, whom I pay to represent my interests.

Can anyone see the upside on all of this? Help a brother out! Slowplay?
