Random question: If one is non-revving overseas on DL as an S3, and will likely get a seat in first, how casual can you get away with?

Trying to decide what I would like to be comfortable in for 12 hours.

Don't worry, not wearing sweat-pants or flip-flops.

I've found that it works faster than doing a PD because it runs in real time, and those picking up trips aren't subject to the pick up cap.

Often my trips are gone before I get up to get a refill on my coffee.

Thanks Nu!

I've looked at it sober and with a few cocktails, it just doesn't add up.

Thanks in advance,

First, go check the "reasons report" on the Aug Bid Award Page(second set of X's).

If that doesn't give you the justification, then go to deltanet, crew resources & scheduling page. On the left side column under "forms and reports", Click on PBS Bid Inquiry form and fill it out.

Who has the code-breaker for how much you get paid in a reserve month with an 80 hour guarantee and one week of vacation?

Upon further review...looks like a little over 84

This week we talk a bit about the newly-approved Delta Air Lines/Virgin Atlantic JV. The two airlines begin codesharing next week. We’re now officially also taking bets on how long it will be before the “Virgin” brand is more or less “melded” into the Delta brand.

As I’ve mentioned before, feedback from my corporate business travel groups continue to indicate that the Virgin product is “tired.” I’d say the main reason: lack of money to spend.

One thing’s for sure. Virgin does have nice slots at Heathrow.

In other news, we’ve been monitoring the operational performance of the major players this month — to see how they are coping with the busy summer season. Last year United Airlines fell down on the job. This year — American Airlines is turning in abysmal operational performance numbers.

The way I read it, shorts would be permissible. That seems strange, but at the least I could wear jeans. Seems more comfortable than slacks for 12 hours.

Dude... seriously can't believe I'm reading this from a pilot. Don't be the guy showing up in shorts or jeans to non-rev in 1st class. If I paid a couple thousand $$ for a seat, I'd be ****ed if some lazy slacker employee lounged out next to me in shorts or jeans. And sorry, folks ARE going to decide who you are and label you based on your clothes. I recommend not wearing a hoody either. If you don't own a pair of slacks that are as comfortable as jeans, go splurge at WalMart with $15 and buy a pair.

I'm pretty sure one of the Delta hiring interview make-or-break questions was, "If we didn't specify a dress code, which would you show up wearing to non rev: jeans and a t-shirt, or business slacks and a collared dress shirt?" Really, pretty sure that was one of them. If I remember wrong...it should be.

Excellent advice... I started with Animal House.

Looking forward to the interview process!
