Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Perhaps the single most mind boggling thing to me about ALPA, is the vast amount of money we spend on experts and lawyers yet every single time we always seem to be looking back saying W T F. When negotiating these deals, is it done during a dinner party with cocktails and scantily clad women?

But our current problem is the disparity between pilot groups. Not only domestically, but internationally. Like it or not, we at Delta are viewed as the "haves" in a world of "have nots". If ALPA is to gain the critical mass needed to become the world's pilot labor Goliath, the "wealth" of the Delta pilot (our flying) has to be spread out more equitably. If ALPA were to just come out and say that, what would be your response? You'd want blood and ALPA knows it. Thus the game of language where ALPA appears to continually get "beaten".
This symbiotic relationship is currently working for both ALPA and management, albeit for different goals and outcomes.

Pilot alert !! Free stuff:
There's an off-line map application that works great in Europe and South America. (never tried it in Asia). Its called CityMaps2Go.
Its good overseas because you can use the map without using roaming cellular data. Works the same in the USA if you don't have unlimited data.
They are giving it away free just for today. Normally $2.99
Download London, Paris, Rome, Sao Paulo, etc and you're good to go.

From the trim tab: First Officers operating the A-318/320, B-737, MD-88/90 and B-717 ONLY, I guess we don't need the 76 seat RJs now
Thought it was going to be the 321

I think you may be on to something there.
But ALPA may have pushed it about as far as they dare. People are tired of DALPA treating our Section 1 as if it were written in pencil. This JV production balance thing and the Narita slot talks are going to be a real test. If they cave in again and give management more concessions on scope without some serious, tangible "quid pro quo" in return, the DPA is going to get enough cards to force a vote.

Purp, we dont see eye to eye on many things, but I do not and never have professed to be a koolaid drinker! But I do know that it is our union and good guys are involved. I do think they need OUR feedback to do what is best for us. It also means they better have a good reason to not act on our wishes. Transparency is key.
I am a yes voter of the TA specifically of the Cap ratios of RJ's. That was my criteria. Also means I need to find a way live with the rest even though it is directly impacting my quality of life.
