"Reserve question?
If you bid to have 10+ days in a row on call, are really senior, do you have a greater chance of being used versus breaking-up on call days into smaller days of availability?
My category is domestic with the longest trip being 4-days.
My goal is to not be used."

We'd tell you, but you are senior.

The problem is the guys have to wear it too.
Shyguy won't have a problem with the new uniform.

Yes, but I might retire early. With your attitude, I might stick around!

Depends. In smaller category I would say no. In a large category I would say provably..........if you have adequate coverage.

Also, what is the coverage of nearby bases? Just when you think you are off the hook in LAX/SLC you get assigned a trip to cover the other base.

What month? In Nov/Dec a lot of guys want to fly a lot early in the month under the misconception that they can then coast through the holidays - OBTW this never works.

Did anyone come to terms with their insurance choices yet? I was comparing last year versus this years plans (gold). I came up with the same benefits as before. What am I missing family of three.

Yep. Just hit submit on my December bid. It's a big dream. It was like, wow, if that bid ever happened (it won't) life would be just swell.

I believe the change in this year's Gold plan is that Delta's portion of the HRA dollars are no longer automatically funded. They are contingent on you and your wife meeting certain health parameters, and submitting them to Delta: BMI, blood sugar level, BP, etc.

How Delta will safeguard and apply this information is unknown. It's not a stretch to infer that it will become a part of Delta's "big data" on each of us, included in our files about how many times we've used the commuter policy, neglected gatehouse PAs, sick calls(!), etc.

IMO, this new requirement presents some troubling privacy issues--especially for our spouses.
