Hey bro,

I think I just flew with a buddy of yours. Great guy. Are your initials RB?

If so, shoot me a note.

Yes Carl it is much better to start off posts by calling people names. It's good though it lets you deflect form answering questions especially the ones that don't make you or DPA look so good.

By the way if it matters this is one fence sitter you have pushed back over to the ALPA side.

First reporters are being offered immunity, if they publicly apologize. Maybe they'll do that after some soul searching.

Carl
We keep forgetting ... sorry

and just because I figured you would like it ....

Ignoring the dramatic closing quote, it seems that Tim already forgot what he wrote last Friday. The entire piece tries to paint the picture that we should be forgiving of this individual. He even finishes with a little foreshadowing that "it depends on whether or not we can resolve the situation peacefully and ensure it doesn't happen again."

I guess an alleged personal call wasn't enough to satisfy Tim's bloodlust for ALPA. He demanded a public shaming instead, and has now chosen to put the Feds "on the case."

Is that about right Carl? Just want to make sure I'm getting this correctly.
This is the kind of amateurish spin that makes you guys look so bad. Deny everything, nothing's ever your fault, blame the victim, and never stop attacking.

The undecideds will look at this and make their own call. I feel very good about it.

Only the most hard core ALPA sycophant would even try to spin this as a DPA crime. You guys keep forgetting that this will be won or lost by the currently undecided. My prediction is that the undecided are face palming right now at the embarrassing spin of trying to blame the victim. Keep it up boys. You're geniuses.

Carl
You mean spin like this? Another portion of last Friday's DPA Crew Van News (Speculation) update. Bold is mine again.

ITEM 2: ALPA Attack Package

This attack packet probably cost around $20 each of your dues dollars to produce. It included a credit card thumb drive that contains unknown files that could have a variety of intents. The heart of the package is an MEC update that is chock full of misinformation. As this information is being put directly into the hands of many line pilots, DPA is compelled to answer the claims ALPA made. We have provided the update below with a DPA Rebuttal inserted after EVERY ALPA claim that you will find both informative and useful. We recommend you print out the 12 page document and carry it with you to fight the incorrect information ALPA is spreading.
The packets actually cost a little over $4 each to produce. I notice how Tim and Jerry just inflated that about 450% to suit their needs in this little blurb. In all fairness they didn't know how far off they were, so they just guessed what it "probably" cost.

Back to the packet though - The majority of that cost is the flash card that includes a lot of good information that our pilots will need going forward - namely the new Scheduling Reference Handbook (formerly known as When Scheduling Calls) that will be extremely useful on January 1st when the new 117 rules take effect.

I would just be pulling a Tim and guessing here, but I doubt the $4 flash card is a whole lot more expensive than the printing/shipping/v-file stuffing/dead trees associated with distributing hard copies of all of the numerous documents that were included on the drive. Some might call this getting with the times. The "ALPA Attack Packet" is actually part of a secret plan (by the secret police) to provide current/helpful information to the Delta pilots so we can all do our part to ensure the PWA is being followed.

NEXT:
The second bolded sentence is a thinly veiled insinuation (you like to refer to this sort of thing as spin) that ALPA might be placing some sinister files on the drive to do.....what exactly???

Is this the type of spin you're talking about? Maybe they contracted with the "hacker" to create a super worm to: [Letyourimaginationrunwild] Insert your favorite conspiracy theory here [/Letyourimaginationrunwild]

As I've told you before, I don't waste time discussing things with people like you. Very simple.

Nah, you can do both. Is the question too hard for you?

You were never a fence sitter Dorfman. Never. Let's keep it real shall we?

Leine/Bar,

If for argument sake you are assuming the DPA account of events to be true, why ignore the part where Tim asked the individual to identify himself and apologize?
