Shouldn't that be "Even a nut finds a blind squirrel"?

I'm totally complaining. But 9 years...I would love to upgrade in 15 or 16 or 19 years. Just saying
Like I said, I'm not complaining... especially about that aspect. (Although it's not exactly as great as it sounds. I was a TWA new hire in 1989... so it took me 18 years in the majors to upgrade to Captain at 47 years old). As anyone who's been in this career more than a few years knows, it's all about timing and to a certain degree luck of the draw. It SUCKS to be a 2000/2001 hire at Delta. No doubt about it. I'm sorry you're having to endure that. Hopefully going forward we'll get some better representation (one way or the other) and at least SOME of the dollars you missed out on during "the lost decade" can be recouped. I hope so.

THANKS! Exactly as I thought. 7 phone calls. 3 different groups. Only one that was truly wrong. Curtis at ALPA

What did Curtis say? He's normally spot on. I question my conclusion if it's different than his.

I cannot begin to tell you how many times C has been wrong when I have dealt with him... Again, when I speak with him, I feel like I'm speaking with management... Know your contract!

I've only dealt with Curtis a handful of times, but he's been spot on and very helpful in my experience.

Anyone else get sick of hearing about DALPA/company hiring promises from C2012?

"Straight pay for the trip". Scheduling supervisor was clear. You are correct. I have had the opposite experience on more than one occasion

I like to bring it up to remind us that we ought not blindly buy into the company's/DALPA's propaganda in the future.
