One would hope, but keep this in mind. DAL has defined parameters on who a Delta Customer is. If a route does not meet these qualifications, the route is optimized. (Use the FL market in general. It is overall a leisure market, and one DAL will not fight tooth and nail to be number one in. We will serve it, but not with a glut of seats)

AC, what is the definition of this elusvie DL pax? Guarenteed, NW operated the same way...they would not expend resources on a marginal route. Still not sure why we are running SYD...like Bar said, do we give up pax to the other carriers to find these mythical DLC's.

To get the correct answer you would need to ask Glen.

I have heard multiple times that we do not go after the leisure passenger, but then we are going to Key West on a 737-700. I do not see too many conventions down there. ;)

I was going to say the same thing. At AMR they can activate on-line up to four hours prior to departure. The correct coding is on the ID so we could just you that and have the Mr or Mrs. at home activate us.

Interesting article....this was a noteworthy finisher.

This is something Chairman Mao-K should keep in mind. Bowing down every time they want a concession and thinking they will pass along the good will at contract time is foolhardy. It might say Delta Management on the front door but there is an NWA snake inside.

Man, does anyone ever get tired of this hubris? fNW managers are meaner, trickier, smarter and whatever, as long as it ends in a "-er" ...as are the fNW ALPA negotiators...fDL management and ALPA negotiators are too "nice", too naive, gutless, self-serving wimps etc...(I guess thats why NW has always been in reality a "better" airline, along with a "better" corporate culture, no doubt) Do I really have to listen to this hubristic crap for the rest of my career?
