Any chance of getting the NW abiliby to choose your own seat when you activate by computer or Kiosk? Bypass the agent completely.

That still does not work for a international arrival.

I know that non-revs who are connecting from an another flight are already activated after they depart the first city. My dad went DXB-ATL-DCA, and was activated on the ATL-DCA flight 16 hours or so before the ATL-DCA flight departed. (it was all one listing)

Or are you talking about pilots/FAs departing Europe and trying to activate over there before they depart?

No, its really $400 million/plane. Apparently DCI will be getting about 100 and we will be financing them all because after all they are self financing unlike any other asset DAL has.:p

What do you guys think of the skymiles sales teams in the terminal concourses? Good idea, bad idea?

I've seen some things to make me say bad idea. I don't think passengers want to be harrassed in the airport terminal. I don't know, I know skymiles and so forth is important to the overall mix but I don't really know if I like how its being done.

Kind of related, You can access travelnet in DTW without having to pay for the internet in the concourse.

When I first saw them, I thought they were just another airport vendor trying to sell something. Something seemed out of place, they didn't look official. Also, in passing them one time, the sales guy was delivering a pick up line to a couple girls that were walking by. Asking for a hug and stuff; Very unprofessional in my opinion.

United and American won't be battling over the 2016 Olympics, Chicago eliminated in the first round.

I've seen some stuff I really really didn't like either, including harassing some soldiers to come over and talk to them. I just hate to have our passengers associate that pressure sales with Delta Air Lines.
